Neighborhood Restaurant, Coffee Shop & Market in Charleston

Our Story

Located in Charleston’s historic Westside, just steps from Hampton Park, Lillian’s Petite Market & Eatery is a neighborhood restaurant, coffee shop, market, wine bar, and gathering place at the corner of President and Congress Streets. Housed in the beloved former Harold’s Cabin, Lillian’s honors the history of the neighborhood while creating a welcoming space for locals and visitors alike.

From your first cup of coffee to your last glass of wine, Lillian’s is designed to be part of your day. Join us for breakfast, lunch, weekend brunch, happy hour, or dinner, or stop into the market for grab-and-go meals, fresh flowers, local provisions, wine, gifts, and everyday essentials.

Our menus change with the seasons, highlighting the best ingredients from local farmers, fishermen, ranchers, and artisan producers throughout the Lowcountry. Alongside thoughtfully prepared food, you’ll find craft coffee, house-made pastries, natural and classic wines, local beer, creative cocktails, and genuine hospitality.

Whether you’re meeting friends for brunch, grabbing lunch after a walk through Hampton Park, enjoying dinner on our upstairs terrace, or picking up provisions for home, Lillian’s offers a place where every visit feels familiar.

We also host private events, rehearsal dinners, corporate gatherings, celebrations, and off-site catering, creating memorable experiences for everything from intimate dinners to neighborhood parties.

Named for Lillian Jacobs, whose family helped shape this corner of Charleston, our restaurant celebrates community, craftsmanship, and the simple joy of gathering around a table. More than a place to eat, Lillian’s is a place to belong.

“Hospitality isn’t just what we serve—it’s how we make people feel. Every decision we’ve made at Lillian’s has been guided by one simple idea: create a place where our guests, our team, and our neighborhood all feel like they belong.”
— Heather Greene, Founder & Owner

Our Philosophy

At Lillian’s, we believe the best neighborhood restaurants become part of everyday life.

We’re here from morning coffee to evening cocktails, welcoming guests for breakfast, lunch, brunch, happy hour, dinner, and everything in between. Whether you’re grabbing groceries, meeting a friend, celebrating a milestone, or simply enjoying a quiet meal, we hope Lillian’s feels like a place where you belong.

What guides us:

Seasonal & Local
We proudly partner with local farmers, fishermen, ranchers, artisans, and makers whenever possible. Our menus evolve with the seasons, changing throughout the year to showcase the best of the Lowcountry.

Thoughtful Food
Our kitchen starts with familiar flavors and classic techniques, then adds creativity, curiosity, and a playful twist. Every dish is made with intention, respect for the ingredients, and a commitment to quality.

Genuine Hospitality
Hospitality isn’t scripted—it’s personal. We strive to make every guest feel welcome, cared for, and remembered, whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth.

A Gathering Place
We believe restaurants should strengthen communities. Lillian’s is designed to be a place where neighbors connect, conversations linger, celebrations unfold, and everyday moments become meaningful.

Stewardship
We respect the people and products that make what we do possible. That means supporting local businesses, reducing waste where we can, and making thoughtful choices that benefit our community.

At the end of the day, our philosophy is simple: serve thoughtful food, pour great drinks, welcome everyone warmly, and create a place people are excited to return to.
